Privacy policy AIKON GYM
AIKON GYM is committed to protecting your personal data. In this Privacy Policy, we want to provide clear and transparent information on how we handle personal data.
We are committed to ensuring your privacy and therefore handle personal data with care. AIKON GYM adheres in all cases to the applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation. This entails that we will in any case:
1. Process your personal data in accordance with the purpose for which it was provided, these purposes and types of personal data are described in this Privacy Policy;
2. Processing your personal data is limited to only those data that are minimally necessary for the purposes for which they are processed;
3. Asking for your explicit consent if we need it for processing your personal data;
4. Have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of your personal data;
5. Not pass on personal data to other parties, unless this is necessary for carrying out the purposes for which they were provided;
6. To be aware of your rights concerning your personal data, to make you aware of them and to respect them;
As AIKON GYM we are responsible for the processing of your personal data. If after reading through our Privacy Policy, or in a more general sense, you have questions about it or wish to contact us, you can do so using the contact details at the bottom of this document.
Processing of personal data
Personal data of members are processed by AIKON GYM for the following purpose(s):
- Administrative purposes;
- Communication about the assignment and/or invitations;
- Implementing or issuing an assignment.
- Informing through news releases.
Ground for this personal data is:
- The agreed order, written application Membership;
For the above purpose(s), AIKON GYM may request the following personal data from you:
- First name and surname;
- Address information;
- Gender;
- Date of birth
- Telephone number;
- E-mail address;
- Payment information
- Data t.b.v. intake (including medical records);
- Information related to your membership;
- Name of employer provided you are affiliated through your employer.
We will retain your data to the extent necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we process your data and no longer than permitted by law in any event for the duration of your membership.
Processing of special personal data
AIKON GYM processes the following special and/or sensitive personal data about you, if you provide it to us for the performance of the services:
- data on health
- data on weight
- data on training goals
- data via wearables
AIKON GYM takes extra care with this personal data and processes it only if it is strictly necessary to perform the services. This data will only be provided to others within AIKON GYM if they need the data for the performance of their work. These personal data will be deleted by us upon request after the beëtermination of your membership.
AIKON GYM does not make decisions based on automated processing about matters that could (significantly) affect individuals. These are decisions that are made by computer programs’s or systems, without a human being (for example, an employee of AIKON GYM) between them.
Providing to third parties
The data you provide to us, we may provide to third parties if this is necessary for the implementation of the purposes described above. For example, we use a third party for:
- Providing the service online training environment + app;
- Providing the internet environment;
- Taking care of the (financialële) administration;
- Taking care of newsletters and invitations.
We never transfer personal data to other parties with whom we have not entered into a processing agreement. With these parties (processors) we will of course make the necessary agreements herein to ensure the security of your personal data. Furthermore, we will not provide the data you have provided to other parties, unless this is required and permitted by law. An example of this is when the police request (personal) data from us as part of an investigation. In such a case we are obliged to cooperate and hand over this data. We may also share personal data with third parties if you give us written permission to do so.
Retention period
AIKON GYM will not retain your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes for which your data is collected. We use the following retention periods for the following “categoryën” of personal data:

Rights regarding your data
You have the right to request us to inspect, rectify or delete your personal data. Upon receipt of your request, we will respond as soon as possible and in any case within the time limit set by the AVG. You can send such a request to administratie@aikongym.nl.
Complaints or questions
If you have a complaint or questions about the processing of your personal data, we ask that you contact us directly about this. If we cannot work it out with you, we will of course be very sorry. You always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the supervisory authority in the field of privacy protection.
